Use the "SymbolObject" tool to create a parametric object of a symbol.
The SymbolObject acts as a smart container for symbols. This allows more complex object behaviour on top of static symbols.
Functionality
The Symbol Object contains several features which you can use to:
- Display the symbol on multiple layers at once.
- Attach a smart label with custom fields.
- Register relative and absolute position of the object.
- Find out in which space/polygon it is placed.
Usage examples
- Show shaft/stair annotations on multiple levels, originating from one source.
- Show project coordinates.
- Use advanced tags on your custom symbols.
- Locate objects for detailed quantity takeoffs. For instance a list of rooms that contain baths. Each symbolobject is aware of it's location.
